WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION – COUNTRY OFFICE FOR NIGERIA
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
BUSINESS CASE FOR TRANSITION OF WHO’S POLIO INFRASTRUCTURE IN SUPPORT OF PRIORITY HEALTH INTERVENTIONS IN NIGERIA
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Objective of the RFP
The World Health Organization Country Office in Nigeria is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and a suitable contractor to develop a business case and implementation plan for transition of WHO’s polio infrastructure in support of priority health interventions in Nigeria.
This business case should aim to ensure sufficient commitment of resources for WHO to continue to support the government of Nigeria on key priority health interventions as the Global Polio Eradication Initiative ramps-down and closes and GAVI support phases out over the coming years. This business case will be used by WHO to promote the work that WHO undertakes to support the government of Nigeria in implementation of the identified key priority health interventions as part of the polio transition plan.
WHO is an Organization that is dependent on the budgetary and extra-budgetary contributions it receives for the implementation of its activities. Bidders are therefore requested to propose the best and most cost-effective solution to meet WHO requirements, while ensuring a high level of service.
