INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

UNDP Nigeria seeks to establish a roster of Contractors with demonstrable technical and financial capabilities who will be invited to participate in the bidding process for future tenders to carry out Civil Works of various sizes and complexities as follows:
a) Construction and Rehabilitation of Schools.
b) Construction and Rehabilitation of Primary Health Care Centres.
c) Construction of Perimeter Fences.
Interested contractors are requested to indicate the area they are interested in on the form to be download from http://procurement-notices.undp.org/

PARTICIPANTS
Prospective local, Regional and International Contractors who are legally registered in Nigeria are invited to participate in the Expression of Interest (EOI).

EVALUATION AND ELIGIBILITY
The main evaluation (short listing) criteria are as follows:
Description: year in existence
Benchmark: minimum 4 years
Description: relevant past experience
Benchmark: minimum 4 years in construction
Description: qualification of engineers
Benchmark: minimum 5 years’ experience in the relevant field for qualified engineers and technicians under the contractors employment, provide CV’s
Description: company structure and organization/equipment
Benchmark: provide company profile with organogram, type of staff, list of equipment and any other relevant information
Description: financial status
Benchmark: provide last three years certified audit financial reports. Liquidity ratio must be at least 1
Description: legal status
Benchmark: provide accreditation and registration /classification details with the federal ministry of power, works and housing or similar authority in Nigeria.

Applicants must demonstrate a capacity to work anywhere in Nigeria including the North East.
Once the submission date of the EOI has passed, UNDP will evaluate all submitted responses. UNDP reserves the right to undertake a physical capacity assessment of t contractors premises during the course of the pre-qualification, should it be deemed necessary. Only successful participants will be notified by email of the outcome of the evaluation.

On the basis of the EOI evaluation, qualified contractors will be shortlisted and invited to participate in future tenders for civil works.

CLOSING DATE OF SUBMISSION AND CONTACT DETAILS
The EOI and any supplementary documentation must be received by UNDP not later than 5:00pm on 15th September, 2017, Abuja, Nigeria Time. Materials should be submitted to:

Please indicate “EOI – Civil Works Nigeria” on all communications.

This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. UNDP reserves the right to change or cancel this procurement process or any of its requirements at any time during the process; such actions by UNDP will either be posted publicly or directly communicated to all participants, as appropriate. Invitations to participate in Tender and any subsequent contract will be issued in accordance with the rules and procedures of UNDP
