CORRIGENDUM TO ADVERTISEMENT : INVITATION TO BID FOR THE EXECUTION OF PROJECTS 2017

CORRIGENDUM

We refer to our earlier advert in Punch and Daily Trust Newspapers of Monday 26th June, 2017 and the Federal Tenders Journal of Monday, June 26th Sunday, July 9, 2017, inviting prospective contractors/consultants to tender for the following projects:

LOT 1: Rehabilitation of 2No.Twin 2 bedroom flat block at Akwete sub station
LOT 2: Rehabilitation of 1NoTwin 3 bedroom flat block at Akwete sub station
LOT 3: Wire fencing of Manchok substation Kaduna State
LOT 4: Supply of 1No project van
LOT 5: Establishment of small holders cluster rubber farmers processing plant

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) reviewed the said advert and instructed that the following corrections be effected:

ELIGIBILITY TO BID
(i) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Office (CAC) by submission of Certificate of Incorporation;
(ii) Copy of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) three years (2014, 2015 and 2016);
(iii) Evidence of current Pension Compliance Certificate (2017)
(iv) Evidence of current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate (2017)
(v) Evidence of Registration on the National Database of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by submission of Interim Registration Report (IRR) or Certificate issued by BPP.
(vi) Sworn Affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of RRIN or the Bureau is a former or present Director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidding and to confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars.

CLOSING OF BID
Submission of Technical bids closes at 12:00noon on Tuesday, 8th August, 2017.

OPENING OF BID
The Technical bids shall be publicly opened at 12:00noon on Tuesday, 8th August, 2017.

NOTE:
(i) Evidence of VAT Registration Certificate is NO LONGER a part of the eligibility requirement
(ii) Contractors / Consultants who had earlier responded to the previous advert in respect of the above-listed job should take note of the changes in the list of requirements above.
(iii) All Contractors / Consultants who had earlier responded to the previous advert for the above-listed projects would be refunded the sum of N10,000.00 being the excess amount charged for the bid document.

INVITATION TO BID FOR THE EXECUTION OF PROJECTS 2017

1. INTRODUCTION:
The Rubber Research Institution of Nigeria (RRIN), Benin City is a Parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Its headquarters is located at km 19 Benin-Sapele Highway. In line the Procurement Act of 2007, RRIN is inviting prospective contractors to tender for the following:
LOT 1: Rehabilitation of 2No.Twin 2 bedroom flat block at Akwete substation
LOT 2: Rehabilitation of 1 No. Twin 3 bedroom flat block at Akwete substation
LOT 3: Wire fencing of Manchok substation Kaduna State
LOT 4: Supply of 1 No project van
LOT 5: Establishment of small holders cluster rubber farmers processing plant

2. SCOPE OFWORK:
LOT 1: Complete reroofing and other remedial finishing works
LOT 2: Complete reroofing and other remedial finishing work
LOT 3: Chain – link fencing of 27ha of farm land
LOT 4: Supply of 1 No. Double Cabin pick-up van
LOT 5: Construction of Building structure to house the factory

3. ELIGIBILTY TO BID:
(i.) Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Office
(ii.) Evidence of TAX clearance for the past three years
(iii.) Evidence of VAT registration certificate
(iv.) Evidence of ITF remittance up to date
(v.) Evidence of financial capacity i.e. bank statement for the past one year
(vi.) Evidence of NSITF social security contributions
(vii.) Evidence of Remittance to pension fund custodian (PFA) up to date
(viii.) Experience qualification: bidder should have completed at least two similar jobs either solely or in partnership with others
(ix.) Technical qualification: list illustrating management team to execute the project, their professional qualification and status.
(x.) Evidence of registration with BPE National data base as contractors.

4. COLLECTION OF BID:
Bid documents should be collected by prospective bidders from the procurement unit of the institute upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ₦20,000.00 into Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria Treasury Single Account.

5. SUBMISSION OF BID:
Bid should be submitted in waxed sealed envelope addressed to the Executive Director, Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria, Benin City, marked LOT No. “X” with “X” being the LOT bided for at the top right corner of the envelope. Submission of bids closes at 12noon on 8th August, 2017.

6. BID OPENING:
Received bids shall be publicly opened at the Institute conference hall by 1:00pm on 8th August, 2017.

7. NOTE: The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidders should not bid for more than one LOT.
