TIMEFRAME: UP TO 90 WORKING DAYS BETWEEN 15 NOVEMBER 2021 AND 20 NOVEMBER 2022

1. BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT
Across the Sahel, most malaria illness and deaths occur during the rainy season, typically between June and October. Seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC) is a highly effective intervention to prevent malaria infection during this peak transmission period among those most at risk: children under five. SMC involves administering monthly courses of two antimalarial drugs
