The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Bank of Industry has developed a new micro credit scheme (“TraderMoni”) under the Government Enterprise & Empowerment Programme to cater to micro enterprises at the very base of the pyramid with minimal KYC requirements. This product seeks to provide loans of at least N10,(XX).00 to over 2 million qualified beneficiaries and is primarily delivered via mobile wallets and through the agent network.
