(1.0) BACKGROUND
The Health Facility Monitoring & Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) was set up by Lagos State Health Sector Reform Law of Y2006 to assure quality and efficiency in healthcare delivery in Lagos State.

The primary objectives of the Agency are to set standards for both public and private hospitals and other health institutions; assure and improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services rendered at health facilities in the State.
