Bank of Industry (BOI) Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for Solar Energy Companies

By September 26, 2016 No Comments

BOI/UNDP Solar Energy Programme (SEP) formerly referred to as Access to Renewable Energy (AtRE) Project is an intervention programme implemented by the Bank of Industry (BOI) with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project aims at promoting and supporting an expansion of renewable energy services to support households, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria.
The programme initially focused on awareness creation and capacity building of the relevant stakeholders in the Renewable Energy (RE) space, in order to encourage investment in the sector. Subsequently, the project was refocused and re-strategized with the key task of implementation of RE Projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
In this regard, the programme has successfully implemented low-cost, off-grid solar electrification pilot projects in six (6) communities in the (6) geopolitical zones either as a micro-grid or stand-alone systems. The programme now seeks to upscale its activities to provide sustainable and reliable energy for unserved and underserved households and MSMEs across the country.
The Solar Energy Programme is therefore, seeking to engage the services of companies specialized in Solar Energy Services with verifiable experience in design, procurement, installation, servicing and maintenance of Solar Energy systems across Nigeria. Evidence of existing installations with Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) metering system is an added advantage.
